Truthworker will perform excerpts from our provocative three-part body of work that depicts the prison industrial complex through the lens of a dozen youth directly impacted by mass incarceration. This trilogy, comprised of original hip-hop theatre productions, moves from the school-to-prison pipeline & youth criminalization, through the impacts & practices of solitary confinement, & into re-entry upon release.
Poetic Theater Productions’ 5th Annual Generation Now! event features youth created poetic theater. This year’s Generation Now participants include Girl Be Heard, viBe Theater Experience, Truthworker Theatre Company, The Oral History Project, EarSay Youth Voices, & Urban Word.
